The biggest innovation on the new Macbook Pro is its new battery technology. It now has a battery life of nearly eight hrs, which in essence is afull day’s work on one single charge. The battery can be charged up to one thousand times before it needs replacing, which is about five years of standard daily use and about three times the normal life span of a normal laptop battery.

Below an inch thick and weighing a paltry 6.6 pounds, the new MacBook Pro is labelled as ‘the world’s thinnest and lightest 17-inch notebook,’ but without sacrificing processor power. The unibody case is machined from a piece of aluminium giving it a simple but beautiful design. Many onlookers simply stop and stare at the Macbook Pro and making knowing glances at their own now retro looking laptops.
A Winning Display:
Apple's screens have had a boost in quality over the last few years, the 17-inch MacBook Pro gained the most from these quality increases. The Macbook Pro's ultra thin, wide screen glossy 1920 x 1200 display has 78% more pixels and a 60 percent higher color gamut than the 15-inch Macbook Pro.
The LED-backlit screen has an instant on performance, all these increases and the screen still uses 30% less than its predecessors, which coupled with the new extended battery life something to be impressed about.
Overview:
Whilst small notebooks and laptops are grabbing the headlines there are still some manufacturers pumping out great laptops and the new Macbook Pro 17inch is one of them. In bench marking tests, the new notebook performed extremely well. The Macbook has been put together with a great deal of care and attention to fine detail. The battery life indicator on the side of the laptop just blends in ad looks great. There is something about the aluminium design that makes me all warm and gooey inside.
If i had the money then i would have a 13inch Macbook Pro for travel and a 17 inch Macbook Pro for home and office use, i love them!
